Default New Bike

I wanna get a crotch rocket real soon. What make/model do you guys recommend for someone who wants to just ride around, no racing, for a good price?

suzuki sv650/650S S-model if you want cool looking bodywork

kawasaki Ninja 250, or 500.

trust me, either of those will be plenty of bike for a new rider

No, it's not for what you get... They're cheap to insure, and unless someone knows what they're looking at, they'll think it's a 600 (unless they hear it running). I have had two 250s, and a few other bigger bikes, and honestly, the 250 is a fun little bike unless you want to take someone on a long trip. It's kinda like a CRX- not the fastest out there, but goddamn, if it isn't nimble and FUN to ride!

If you're looking for an "around town" or a "just get out and ride to enjoy the day" kinda bike, I'd seriously consider a 250...

No pic, also, I know expierenced riders who are scared of the power of a Gixxer 1k. Might want to re-think that idea

I'd try a 600. I started on an older 750. Throttle control. . .

neither, thanks for your concern, tho. BTW, he asked for a "crotch rocket", I def. don't deem a 250 a crotch rocket...if ya want something slo and boring, don't ask for a crotch rocket and get a 250 or a vespa w/ some fairings...
