Ok, so I picked up an F4i a few days ago. The bike has a Hot bodies undertail but the lights will not work. The brake lights nor the turn signals. I checked the fuse for the tail and its not that. I thought maybe the guy just wired it wrong but I took the it apart and all the wiring is correct. All the wires have been spliced. All other lights on the bike work find and so does everything else. Also checked the switch by the brake lever to make sure it wasn't stuck on/off and it is also working fine. Can anybody help me, I was at this all day and still have no clue what is wrong. Could it be a ground wire? I didn't think so because there are two ground wires so wouldn't one light still work??

 

Id check it all with a test light if you havent, if it has power everywhere most likey it got water in it and burnt up the light assembly inside, ive had a couple do that to me and i ended up going back to the stock tail light and arrowhead style signals. id rather be seen than have junk that quits working the first time it gets wet. they look nice but never work long in the rain.

 

Dude your probably right. The bike was setting in this guys moms garage and he is over seas. She told me she sprayed it off good before I got there. I hope thats problem, cause I don't know much about rebuilding the wiring harness. Thanks for the help though.

 

And your right about being seen. Hot b's lights are shitty. If thats the problem im either replacing them in the undertail or going back to stock.
