1992 accord 2.2. My condenser radiator fan was grinding, then it locked up and melted all to hell. bought a new fan, and have bought a good junk yard fan that both run when hooked to the battery to test it. Now when I plug in either fan with the proper harness it will not turn on EVER!!!!! I have checked the relay under hood, buy just swapping the (window 12v) with the a/c fan 12v relay. windows work fine with a/c fan relay. I finally said F it and ran it of the radiator fan wires to the a/c fan, blew fuse right off the bat. I just want my ac fan to run when the ignition and cars running.

I want to run the fan off a ignition remote wire in the engine bay without f-ing my wiring system up. I have have read diagram after diagram and read post after post.

I'm partially color blind, but no idiot. So I'm not going to do it with out someones help. please help me and not with vague ideas. or diagram links, or someone else's failed attempt at this problems link.

 

The car has to be hot enough to turn the fan on and the ac has to be on. It doesn't just run when you turn the car on. I'm wondering if you might have an open in the harness wires.

 

I Thank you for the response. I know the ac fan is only suppose to come on when it gets hot enough, and I have ran it with the ac on till the temp needle when almost to the red but not quite. One time to test the new fans. Like I said I tested the new fans on a battery before installing and they work fine. I found schematics for where the harness that goes to the fan originates from, I tested it and its dead.

Does any on know a GOOD remote power wire in the engine bay I can run the fan power from temporarily??????? Because its 105 degrees here. It will run cold until im sitting at a light..

 

Ok, we are talking about the left/drivers side fan, correct?

If so, the window relay will not interchange with the cond fan relay-it will for the coolong fan but not the condenser fan relay....the cond fan relay should be on the drivers side.....round top and by the ac comp relay.

Check the underhood fuse (#29???) 15amp. Is it good. Double check the WHT wire at the condenser fan relay....12V to ground?

Can you answer these before we go into more detail?

 

Do what he said and you can buy "GOOD remote power leads(better known as "test leads")" for a couple bucks at any auto store.
