Default proper tightening for koni struts

I searched, nothing answered my question.

I just installed a new Knoi/GC set up on my integra along with ASR subframe brace/24mm sway bar, Function & Form LCAs, and a couple other new OEM parts for the front.

My question is this: for the top hats, are they supposed to be tightened down to the base of the threads on the strut? I am talking about where the styrut come through the small hole in the top hat and locks with two 19mm
(I think) nuts on top. I have them snug right now but did not want to go crazy on them with out knowing how to properly tighten them.

any input is appreciated.

you want to get them as high as possible by threading the nuts all the way down. otherwise the piston internals will sit lower and more chance of bottoming out internally. and you dont want any slack between the bushings.
