Stupid complain came from a stupid kid at my acura dealer!
He owns a PY R which bought from my dealer and he complained that it was hit from new because his friend told
him that the rear bumper skin should have VIN# located inside and his doesn't. Is he for real?
This is the same kid complain about his tranny because he can't throw it in third from fifth without crunching.
Let me remind u that he would cruise in fifth and then step in the clutch while the rev drop to idle and NEVER MATCHREV,
the Slam it into third!

let me ask you something. At your delearship do the replacement block have vin numbers or engine codes. cause myne doesnt. and i know another guy that got his rebuilt and his says b18c instead of c5.
They should have engine codes, but not always. The block WILL NOT have the vin number from the vehicle if it was replaced.

this comes from a guy who goes to a drag strip, revs to 7000 rpm and then from a stand still drop the clutch and wonder why he just glazed his clutch.

WHoa I just saw this from that link posted above, and at EVERY stop I always just shift into 1st and hold the clutch in till its green (with the exception of waiting for a train).
"When at a stoplight, don't get in the habit of holding the clutch in for more than a few seconds or you will have other problems down the line."
I'm curious now what kinda damage I may be causing to my car/clutch?
Thanks

Accelerated clutch wear. Don't ask me why. I don't know.

If you hold the clutch in at a stop light, you are loading the throw-out bearing and pressure plate. This will accelerate throw-out bearing wear more than it will hurt anything else. If you leave the car in neutral at a stop, the throw-out bearing and pressure plate are not loaded and will last longer.
Hmm...it was a slip at 4000 Mr.ImakeThingsUp. My streets tires are too grippy at that track. So I don't know how to drag race...sue me!
And you are so cool! You ran 15.2xx at best the whole day!
And this coming from a guy that pee in his pants when his car oversteers on mountain roads. (Get diapers next time you drive)
Yup! You the bomb when it comes to mountain racing
--- simply because you finished all the Initial D stages.

Personally, I put it in neutral when traffic is light. But, when it's traffic time and I'm 1st in line, I push on the clutch with gear in the 1st... so, in case of an accident, I won't roll into the intersection and be hit on the driver side.
The chances of that happening are 1,000,000 to 1. IF that.

That bumper is not the original one that came with the car.
