Default 90 civic Dx winter beater thread

Bought this car a month or so Ago and Thought I'd start a "winter beater" thread.I got for $700 and it came with a few little surprises.

-A jdm d15b non vtec (103 hp,102 tq with dual-point) rebuilt
-Brand new snow tires for in the fall/winter
-New Radiator, fuel pump Brake pads and rear shoes/drums.

I had a Si interior from a previous parts car so I installed those.(what a difference from the horrible vinyl)I Also installed a Si tach and the the Passenger side mirror(Dx's only came with one mirror in Canada).Replaced the Pcv valve as well as the o2 sensor.I plan on using this car till the fall while I look for a nice Eg Hatch with a Non-vtec b18 project car.
Open to any criticism or suggestions for cheap/efficient upgrades.

I am in the process on putting a MPFI(have everything but the Dizzy)

I took some pictures last night,I will post more "day" photos and interior shots later. Thanks for looking,Matt.

for a "winter" beater, might as well leave it dpfi....why spend more money on it to make it mpfi if your going to just sell it again....

lol thanks man. It's funny when I merge on the freeway I can feel the more "lag" because of the dual point. The motor is so healthy and to have only 2 injectors is starving it

Common misconception. Swapping rear disc is more of an aesthetic thing than anything (unless you're going "big brake"), drums will stop it just fine.

I totally agree I think the drums are like 10-11 pounds lighter a side.

Paint the molding back to black and you're in business In fact, respray all the moldings with some fresh black while you're at it. You'd be amazed at what a can or 2 of Trim Paint can do for your car overall: moldings, wiper arms, grill, lip, window trim, etc.

the bumper sort of looks the same, except for the color matched molding and lip.
if you do the rest of the trim molding, i say paint it all red.
go for broke.. do the door handles and mirrors too!

that's a clean car man, looks real nice.
i guess they don't use salt on the roads in BC
