Hey guys I have a Cx/vx tranny and I wanted to swap the 5th gear out of a crx tranny so that I better gas mileage but I don't if the mainshaft are the same. Want to get sum info who has experience with these transmissions. Any thing will help

 

88-2000 D series 5th gearSETS are interchangeable but don't always expect better mpg.

I got a d15z1 swap 4 my ef for the gas milegae. I want to keep the car under 2800 rpm but at a faster speed so want to swap out the 5th gear for a taller ratio

 

DX tranny with .702 5th would be perfect. I'm building an 88 DX (3.722 FD) for my CRX.
