I specifically want the front seats from an '01 Civic to put in my '96 civic and I was just wondering if this was possible at all. Has anyone done any seat rail changes or conversions for seats that they've liked?

 

I think you might have to change the rails, but they should fit.

 

I have never heard of this swap being done. What is the goal of such a swap? I have sat in 01-05 Civic seats and they feel like 96-00 seats pretty much...not uncomfortable, but not something I'd choose for a vehicle I planned to do much spirited driving in.

 

That being said, anything can fit anything else. If necessary, there's always angle iron, you can modify or make your own rails to fit.
