Default RSX ebrake cables on 02 Civic EX

Hey I just completed to drum ---> disc swap on my 02 Civic EX and everything went smoothly, but I think there's a problem with my ebrake cables. I got em from an rsx, installed the left one first then the right, and all the brackets lined up except for one on the right side that is extra and is just hanging freely at the moment. Ebrakes work fine and everything, but I'm pretty sure this isnt supposed to be how it looks in my center console (right cable having more slack than the left). Both sides were a tight fit into that bracket too even after loosening the bolt almost all of the way. Any tips/suggestions? Thanks! Also, sorry about the picture being unnecessarily huge.

You may want EP3 e-brake cables, as they fit perfect on the car. Or, you could try re-routing the passenger cable a little bit to tighten up some of the slack.

The reason why I got the rsx ebrake cables was because they're about an inch longer than the ep3 ebrake cables and are interchangeable and since most people who have done the swap said the hardest part was the ebrake cable, I figured I'd go that route.

Harlowe, you say that you have two extra clamps; one on each cable. When I put in the ebrake cables I found that I had an extra clamp only on the right side, so that may have something to do with it. I'll check that out see how it goes. When I tighten the adjustment bolt it just moves the whole setup up as one like it is in the picture. Thanks for the input!

Hahaha no worries, at least I know now for sure that it's not supposed to look like that so I'll lift my car up and take a look at it on Monday and try a different approach. I figure it couldn't be too damn difficult since it's just dealing with the cables, hopefully I can just unbolt one of the brackets on the left cable and free up a little bit of slack. Thanks again for the input!
