lowering sprig assistance needed please...
I might be getting a used set of Eibach Pro springs for my 2010 Fit Sport this weekend. I was mainly wanting them more for cosmetics to remove some of the fender gap more than anything else. It states 1.2" front and 1.4" rear. Gentlemen, I am 40 years old and will never rail this car, or do anything that involves a track. Just driving back and forth to work.
My questions are, using the stock struts, driving the car normally, how much am I shortening the life of the srtuts? Also, there are camber bolts on Eibachs site and camber plates on others. Are these additional expenses that aren't needed? My goal is to have a slight drop and thats it. I am also hoping with springs, they will be able to support stereo stuff down road prevent the back lowering more than it is.
I want to do this the right way, the first time, and at a price I can afford. If the camber bolts or camber plates are going to help, then I guess I need to figure out what will best suit my needs between the two.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have seen so many Fits lowered with springs, but none mention if the bolts or plates were used in the particular setup.

The top thread in this section is about camber. Camber causes little wear, toe a lot. You can decide about camber kits. I do not specifically know the Fit and its geometry. You will need an alignment. Lowering springs will usually have an increased spring rate to compensate for less range of travel. You need to know the spring rates and the capability of your struts. Usually it will take more to damp the new springs. Not sure if they are in range of the OEM. If you do not get the specific answer here, try Fit forum.
