1990 Civic Hatch Si project (de-ricing build)
I bought my second vehicle recently and I have been doing a lot of work to it, trying to make it look tasteful. When I bought the car it had stupid little flames on the drivers side rear quarter panel and on the passengers side it had some ruff looking areas. The car has a B18a1 LS swap, skunk2 headers, Skunk2 intake manifold, AEM short ram intake, Tein coilovers. I paid $2000.00 for the car with all the mods and it had only little surface rust.
Here is the first pic while it was still at the notary

GT Grant steering wheel, Alpine head unit and mint interior besides typical drivers side seat wear.

before work haha

at the junk yard pulling an accord lip

I think it will look good and only cost $1. While at the junk yard I pulled a Civic wagon rear wind shield and it also was only $1

The car before we rattle canned the rust and retarded looking flames.... the other side of the car was the same deal but with rust on the rocker.
Whoever had it before me also decided to remove the antenna and fill it with bondo, but when we sanded the primer down all was good :-D

Here my brother and I sanded the rust and primer down going from 100-400 grit before primer.

Here was the other side that I mentioned.

primer

this picture shows the flames finally gone  not finished yet

I got bored and decided to get rid of the rust on the roof while I was at it and also my brother and I painted the rocker panel and little rust spots

Here are some pictures once all of the rust was gone, now i just need to paint the piece of metal above the rear bumper 8|

OEM eating JDM :prayer: this is my girlfriends brother taking daddies new 427 for a spin

Here is the LS

Grenade shift **** (for the hell of it) and my alpine head unit

Here is my PG sub and my Audiobahn amp... they are so old but work so good there is no point to get new ones

The car is not done yet and I will be sure to keep everyone updated. Today while I'm at work my brother is going to pic up some BMW bottle caps for my car
Also I will have stock fenders on the front once I can get ahold of some
Just picked the bottle caps up last night, 6 rims with tires for $80... couldn't turn them down :-D they will need tires but I think it was a steal

Like them?

Today I picked up a passenger side fender for $30, the drivers side fender came with the car. Once I have time they'll meet mr. rattle can and then I'll put them on

Where I'm located it has been so hot that I can't paint the fenders yet :/ but my brother gave me hid old carbon fiber hood that needs re-clear coated. A couple of days ago I went to town sanding it dowb nice. Soon when it cools down, my car will look a lot better with the new fenders and hood on
car's looking good, you should mount your amp to your back seat, will look alot cleaner and will help avoid damage to your equipment
Thanks again guys, here's some pics of installing the lip. I cut it in half with a razor blade and then had to trim both ends as well, I think it turned out pretty good.

It's only held on by zip ties, I had to drill holes in the lip and some in the bottom of the bumper as well. To be honest you could look at it and not even tell it's zip tied

While one side of the car was jacked up to put the lip on, the other was tucking haha

What do you guys think?

My dads friend just got this for $500, it's pretty cool. It's a 91 dx

yup the whole back is pressed tin so the foam stays in. i went as far as to cut slits in the carpet for my wires so they aren't running all over the place too.
the lip

Carbon fiber hood, work in progress
Here are all of the dings that I fixed

all sanded down ready for clear

after two coats

not perfect but will be getting wetsanded and buffed out to look nicer
me going to town on the fenders

the back had a little surface rust, decided not to go the easy way and skip all the rust

there were some little dents that I filled in with bondo to look 100%
