ITA integra LS fluids
Finally got my 99 integra. Ready for the first race in it at beaverun next weekend. What engine oil and what transaxel fluid do you recommend? I used mobil 1 5w30 in the miata, that good here? Used redline 75/90 in the tranny, but I dont think thats what you guys (well, us guys now) use.
Thanks for advice,
Jim

I've run Kendall GT1 10w30, Valvoline Racing Synthetic 10w30 and JGR XP1 in my motors. The oil temps with the Valvoline tended to be a bit high for my liking.
For the trans, I've used Motul 300v and Honda MTL with transmissions using ITR torsen and OPM diffs. What diff is in your car?

Be careful with your transmission fluid choice.
GM Synchromesh isnt the same as GM Synchromesh with the friction modifier
Im running cheap penzoil synchromesh mixed with honda mtf, and redline mtf.
do you have an oil psi gauge? 10 psi per 1000 rpms is what has said to be a good place to be at. Im running Motul 300v 5-30 in my ls motor
GM Synchromesh isnt the same as GM Synchromesh with the friction modifier

My personal experience is pre-synchromesh I would always need to put it in 2nd for it to go into first at a stop, and it had a slight bit of notchyness going into 3rd here and there.
Post synchromesh, goes into first at a stop with out any problem and the notchyness going into 3rd is gone completely.
By no means am I an expert on anything, but there was a noticeable difference when I switched out the Honda MTF for the GM synchromesh. I've also never heard people complain about it so there has to be something to it.
Engine: Your favorite synthetic oil will be fine. I use both the Valvoline SynPower and the Valvoline Racing Synthetic. I use 10W-30, but you can use the thinnest that will give you the 10 psi per 1000 RPM that a previous poster mentioned. I am at 80-85 psi.
Trans: I use a blend (Valvoline Durablend) engine oil with my gear type LSD (Quaife) since it seems to work with the brass syncros better than a full synthetic. If the Mugen is a clutch type, I would use whatever the LSD manufacturer recommends.
