A6 Manifold onto JDM D15b Vtec
Hey guys I was planning on installing my D16A6 Intake Manifold onto my JDM D15B SOHC Vtec for better airflow, and I was wondering if it would fit or if I need to do any modifications to make it work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
It's a one for one swap, only difference that might throw you off is the flange for the throttle body might be different (willing to bet it is) and the IACV bolt pattern may be different (again willing to bet it is). If you are swapping it as a complete manifold with matching throttle body and sensors you'll be good to go (all plugs are the same).
NOTE: Later OBD1 style throttle bodies have the MAP sensor mounted on top of the throttle body itself. Your car should have it mounted on the firewall. If you do have the later style you can just unplug yours from the firewall and plug it right into the MAP sensor on the throttle body.

Cool. Ya I plan on using the complete manifold. My car is an 89 (OBD0,) and I did the DPFI to MPFI swap. Im wondering though if the fuel rail and injectors from the Vtec will fit onto my A6 manifold. Ill just have to check and see. I appreciate your time and response. Thanks again..
I don't think they do. Pretty sure the D15B is the same as the Z6:

Picture is from my personal stuff, disregard the "??" example. I believe that one is from a B16A. You can see though that the bolt pattern is slightly different for the fuel rail itself but the injectors should swap over from either one without issue.
