What do you think?
they look slippery to me.
i never knew s2000 seats were "racing" seats

S2k seats (as mentioned above....thanks)and no, they DO NOT just bolt in. I used the S2k rails ans they must be modified a bit. But, damn, it's worth it! The lateral support (particularly for the shoulders and thighs) is incredible! I thought that the leather may cause the seats to be "slippery", I found just the opposite to be true! ...The leather makes them easy to get in and out, but are so snug when you sit in them that you fel as though you are in Recaros. Makes the ITR seats seem like bench seating in comparison. Major differences are: 1) They sit about 1"-1.5" lower than stock seats. This is a major plus IMO. I feel as though I am now sitting at the "correct" height. 2) They do not recline anywhere near as far as the stock seats do. You can probably get about a 45 degree angle, but that's it (same in the forward direction)....no biggie for me though, I RARELY have anyone in the back seats and almost never recline my seat anyways. 3) They provide what I would guess to be about 5"-6" more leg room when slid all the way back. This is VERY nice for the passenger and for any driver who has long legs! 4) I should have weighed them to compare (I didn't have a scale available to me at the time) but, they certainly felt lighter when I was picking them up while modding the rails....can anyone confirm their weight (& compare to stock as well)?? Anyways......all in all: an AWESOME seat!

lighter? um.
i've had both ITR and s2K seats as well..
and the s2000 seats were whales.
i like how the ITR seats held me in more than the s2000 seats.
however, for leather seats, the s2000 seats hold in pretty well.
but i sold them because they were heavy and leather is stinky

I haven't noticed any "stinky" leather smell. Just got lucky I guess (my seats only have 3k miles on them...maybe that's the difference?) As far as the weight issue is concerned, I'm really confident that they ARE lighter (if not, then at very least, the same weight). Did you weigh them? Just curious...I'd really like to know what the weight diff. is. Anyone?

my opinion is that you shouldn't have sold your stock itr seats, cause I have a feeling you'll get sick of those s2000 seats. They don't really go with the black suede/ red stitching theme.
Congrats... If your happy then be happy but, you have to realize that alot of the active members here are racers that would more appreciate Sparco EVO's for race day and/or Casual Recaro SRD's for the daily stuff...
Not to long ago there were a few queries about S2000 and RSX seats being fitted to the DC2 chassis. So we can't be too hypocritical.
BUT, as for me I'd take sticky Stock or the EVO over slippery pleasant smelling leather any day... I just hate sliding around when taking turns at speed... Control is key and if You are moving around then maintaining control is ALOT harder...
Looks nice and to each his own,,, Good job... Have a nice day!

Man give the man a break, ive sat in those seats in an s2k and the first thought that crossed my mind was "gotta get them for my car" they fit me better than the itr seats and I would choose those seats over virtually any other seat!
Congrats!
Congrats!
i prefer the my old ITR seats over my old s2k seats.
however, like i stated above..
s2k seats hold in pretty good for leather seats. the bolsters hold you in pretty well and dont allow you to slip around too much, if at all.

Thanks for the nice comments guys (and gals). I'm not looking for appproval (I'm totally in love w/ the seats), I'm just curious about what others think. So, if you don't like them, please post, I'd still like to hear what you think and why. Also, to answer a few of the questions: I swapped my ITR seats for these for two main reasons: 1)beacuse I was CONSTANTLY concerned with not damaging, staining, wearing out, etc. the suede, and 2) beacuse I wanted a seat that I would not fall out of during hard cornering and that would hold me snugly and the ITR were just not cuttin' it! And also, you can't see the armrest because it's not there. I have the JDM ITR e-brake cover (you can make it out if you look more closely)
