which clutch?
so im getting the importbuilders all motor 2l block, killer head work package, fidanza flywheel, and cams. now my question is which clutch will work best with this setup? the guys at importbuilders say clutchmaster stage 4! that seems a little extreme to me! i had thought about the exedy clutch, but like i said, this setup is going to be pretty crazy, im just not sure what clutch to use, i dont want one thats going to be annoying for daily driving, but i do want one that will compliment my setup...thanks for any input guys!
CM Stage IV is a very nice clutch... I have run it for about 5000 miles... It is extremely streetable (I used to drive an unsprung) I would suggest talking to your Shop a little more in depth, and maybe even call CM.. Very knowledgable people. I have a stock motor with just bolt ons, and the Stage IV is great for my set up....
my .02
my .02
so it is streetable...thats what my main concern was, i just didnt want it to be too harsh. ive heard good things about CM, also just wanted to make sure the 185 dollar difference was worth it to go with CM IV instead of the exedy one...
any more input between the 2 clutchs? according to IB this should be around 220 or so at the wheels...any more input would be great!
Get the CM Stage IV. Mine w/ the CM Flywheel Retails @ about $780 It's worth it to be able to drive it like the stock clutch, but when you really let out, You have the clamping force of an "unsprung"......
