Default D15b JDM non vtec swap into 90 honda CRX SI

Hello, my name is Caroline. I have recently purchased a 90 honda CRX SI for 500 with a blown motor. I really wanted to go with the B16a, but considering this recession I purchased a D15b JDM non vtec for the mean time. I have installed the motor but now I am having trouble starting it. It is turning over but not firing. My question is that motor compatable to be in the SI model, or do I have to do some alternate wiring or something? I have the computer that came with the motor, it is a PM5, there is a PM6 in the car now, would that affect it? And would the fueling be different, because the motor came with the injectors and those were installed also, lol. I don't know too much and I need help please.

Thank you

Oh yea I forgot to mention that I am using the distubutor(sp) that came out of the SI, BUT the blown motor I pulled out was a non vtec also.

Hey Caroline, My name is Aaron and I was just wondering, Im planning on purchasing the JDM D15B Non Vtec as well. I currently have the USDM D15b (Dual Point.) I swapped over to MPFI, and have the PM6 Ecu, Si Dizy, it ran good for a little and then motor basically went to ****. pardon my french. Let me ask u something, did the motor you buy, was it the dual carb or mpfi?

Thats a block off plate for the mechanical fuel pump. If you have 4 injectors thats mpfi, the dpfi has a black round intake manifold.

Ok, as far as I know, the motor is compatible with the SI, because mine is a dx and I did the swap from DPFI to MPFI which means it goes from 2 inectors to 4 (DX to SI) and I went from the PM5 to PM6 Ecu. I dont know why you would get the PM5 ecu with a motor that has 4 injectors, the pm5 is for Dual point.

Hmmm, well like I said I'm not for sure about it. What if it has just the 2 injectors?....

If you have 2 injectors you are running DPFI, I am swapping a D16 SOHC in place of a D15 SOHC with DPFI. The distributor is alot bigger on the D16 SOHC with MPFI, you will probably have to replace the wiring harness too. To go from the D15 SOHC with DPFI to a D16 SOHC with MPFI, so far i have had to repalce the distributor, wiring harness, computer, and the fuel line going from the fuel filter to the intake manifold. I would imagine if you are this process in reverse, then you would need the exact same things except for the D15 SOHC DPFI. I can help you out with some of those parts.
