1997 honda civic hatchback 119,000 miles. Ls/Vtec Dohc Vtec 2,300 miles 200WHP 30+MPG

Car looks really clean, looks to be a professionally done swap, motor was rebuilt by Honda mechanic. 13:1 high comp pistons with Skunk 2 stage 2 cam.

Tuned on Neptune by Jess Evans

No AC or PS

Paint and body 8/10
No rust
Interior 8/10

It is a 2 hour trip and this is one of the cleaner cars I have seen locally.

Sounds like a pretty good deal for the mileage if it does in fact not have issues.

 

I always found posts without pictures of the whole car to be misleading. Is there a reason he didn't take pictures of the front and side of the car and only the rear and bay ?

Example, everything is cool, except his whole front end is black.

Thanks for the info thus far.

 

I bought a hatch once that had a lsVTEC setup in it... it lasted about 6 months then I needed a new block.

From that point on I vowed to never buy another Honda with a lsVTEC engine.

 

Why did the block fail?

Was the setup done correctly?

 

Quoted me 3800 cash sale for pick up tomorrow, just got an email that he got offered 4500. Missed this one, maybe next time....

everytime I ever buy or make an offer on craiglist....the person replies that they got a higher offer....

and a week later, they are willing to knock 1k off the price b/c the mysterious buyer that offered "more then asking" flaked and now they "have to sell"

 

pic can only tell alittle about a car...pic dont tell how reliable the car is if the motor is in good shape... and let me tell u that car does not get 30+ mpg so if ur looking for good gas mileage i would not get it
