Default precision turbo o-ring

I have a precision billet 6768 with the "H" housing 4'' in 3'' out. is there an o-ring that goes in between the turbo and the compressor housing that seals that up?

got a question for you. why when the o-ring is not there will it overboost? what does that ring/seal actually do? we ran it without one and it overboosted on the dyno everytime until we put one in there. just wondered because i recently took the comp housing off and it was ripped in two pieces so i need to know if i have to replace it or not.
