Well I'm plagued with two problems

1. My back up light is constantly on for Idk what reason

2. My car after warm up and coming to a stop for some reason it wants to stall out. It makes a puff puff noise then the idle drops near zero and after a bit it goes to 1k. Sometimes it will just die on me at a stop.

My car is a 1993 Civic EX any ideas? Also no CEL

1. check the back up switch on the trans
2. is it overheating???

probabaly bad switch stuck on the on position try getting a new switch only imagine it very inexpensive

 

Check the ground lead. should be located in the boot

 

assume this is a 5speed

idk how much a reverse switch costs but if you unplug it and the lights are still on, then you have another problem, if it goes off, then you have a bad reverse switch
