Icon2 usdm ITR vs GSR swap in a 00 coupe?

I'm looking to have one of these engines swapped into my coupe. For the people who've driven a Civic with these swaps, is there a major difference between the two? I know the itr engine would net me 25 HP more than the gsr, but is it worth the difference in prices? I've owned a gsr teg in the past but never ridden in a civic with a gsr swapped in it. And I plan on keeping it N/A. Thanks.

Either swap is great... They're basically the same motor only the itr with cams and an lsd. Really, that's what makes the price difference... GSR would be a baller on a budget kinda thing...

Yea the LSD tranny seemed pretty enticing, but I could live without. Do you know how much of a difference a gsr engine in a civic feels compared to in a teg in butt dyno specs?

Depends on what year/ model /trim civic when it comes to weight. A gsr swap in a base model hatch will be pretty quick.. If you can do without the LSD you can always swap to some itr cams

Go with JDM ITR swap. Money adds up when you mod eventually.

ITR>$3,500 200HP
GSR>$2,500 170-180HP

Price difference advantage : Better cams, higher compression, short gears with LSD

ITR>GSR

WEIGHTS

DX Coupe EX Coupe

1999 2335 2513
2000 2359 2513

Integra 94-01 Coupe(except Type R)

2640lbs

The Type R transmission makes a big difference though.

Yeah, you guys are right, the jdm itr pretty much owns the gsr in all sorts of ways. I'm definitely going with the jdm itr.
