In town, there are two EBP EP3s for sale, both 2003's. I'm new to these cars, and new to the k-series, period. Is there anything I should look out for, besides the general things? Also, there's a 2003 RSX-S about an hour away, stock with 114k for 8k. Might go take a look at it tomorrow.

 

im sure I paid more because it was from a dealer, but I got my 2004 RSX base model wiht 70k for $9500 =/

All three are at dealers. The Civics are at hole in the wall tiny used car lots, and the RSX is at a massive dealer with hundreds of cars, including some pretty high-end ones. I'd most likely get either Civic checked out at the Honda dealer before buying.

Which one, doe? RSX, RSX-S, EP3? Also, is the entire drivetrain identical between the EP3 and base RSX?

 

yes it is... I would go for the Type-S between the EP3 and the Type-S.

I had an EP3 and loved it but you will notice that there isn't enough power! Still fun car to drive...

Also 2002-2003 EP3, make sure to pay attention to camshaft galling... You will here the car ticking constantly! That is due to the owner not listening to Honda when they asked everybody to stop using 5w20 on the Kseries.... always 5w30 or better!

 

Yeah ideally I would like the S; who wouldn't want the extra 40 hp. I've loved them since they came out. I just wish I could find a damn car within reasonable driving range.
