as long as they are not posting that crap in here...
thank goodness...
a spoon crate motor is simply a JDM B18c5 thats been balanced and blueprinted...
they do not sell race motors anymore...
AND THEY NEVER REVED TO 13K...

Spoon engines are pretty cool as long as you keep in mind what they are and what they aren't.
Someone who already has a stock ITR motor could build it up to thrash a spoon motor, no problemo, for less than the cost of the Spoon motor.
But if you were looking to buy an ITR motor and wanted to leave it relatively stock a Spoon motor gives you the alternative of buying a freshly built, nicely balanced, more powerful motor using mostly OEM parts for not much more than the cost of a used, stock B18C5.

no spoon cams in spoon engines? LOL so basically they have just as much hp as a stock engine only they have the spoon name all over it.
that is, until they hit the dyno lol

I have a Spoon engine.
The only Spoon part it come with is the Spoon headgasket.
As far as it is balanced and blueprinted, I can't really tell the difference between it and a stock USDM ITR engine.

No, the SPoon engine does't come with the yellow valve cover!! And it burn oil like a **** after 5000miles. Not good at all.
sorry this is kinda ot, but doesnt the b16b have the ability to rev past 11k no problem cause of its rod ratio? i know you can make any engine rev really high, but if you dont have the right rod ratio, will it make power past say 11-12k?
