my daily beater, a 98 accord v6 coupe...sometimes wont start, it cranks fine but sometimes it will just crank and wont fire up and when it does it dies after. then what i normally do is leave the key on the ON position for a good minute or so then fire it up and its fine...what could be wrong? bad fuel pump? my friends 02 accord does the same thing

 

change your MAF sensor ,but first check if it has spark and is getting fuel. pull your plugs too just to have a look

 

Check/test the main relay.....

 

second poorman212 response. when its not starting, you can check if its the main relay by turning the key to just key on when all your dash lights come on only and you can hear the fuel pump prime the system. if you don't hear anything its your main relay.
