I currently have my car ripped apart sitting on jack stands. I need this thing back together ASAP.
I am trying to assemble my koni/GC combo with the most fvcked up, worthless instructions ever. I can't tell exactly how to assemble the upper half. I have the lower plastic washer and lower bump stop on the lower part of the shaft already. I am trying to install the GC extended top hats on the front struts.
I need someone who has prior experience with suspension to instruct me PLEASE!!!!
I can post pics or whatever or if someone can explain it please do so.

Top hats are top hats. They all go on exactly the same whether OEM or aftermarket (Ebay or GC). If you're having issues with that then possibly you are doing something drastically wrong. I just put ETHs on a set of shocks yesterday.

thank you for the reply. the bump stop that comes with the top hat does that go on the lower part of the shaft or the upper? I know I am a noob but decided to tackle this and save myself 1 grand in labor to have someone else do it.

thankyou, that link really helped.
I have another question, no surprise.
Question: When I put the strut back into the fork, is there a specific way I have to line them up? They defiantly will not go right in with out hitting the fork from the bottom to tap them on. I noticed a small notch on the bottom of the strut.
If anyone has the answer it would be much appreciated.

The notch is supposed to line up with the inside split of the fork. On the hatch I have to tap the bottom of the fork with a hammer to get the fork back on.
