Help save my GS-R
I have a 92 GS-R last night i was driving it after changing the oil an adding engine restore rolling about 80 on the highway shifted to 5th an immediatly loss some power shifted down to 4th an gained alittle rpm the check engine light cam on an the car started dying i pulled off an exit just in time for the oil light an battery light came on the car died got it into the parking lot checked oil it was good do have a leak but its not dumping out think its a pan seal the car sounded good before it died i went to restart an it started rough gotta give it gas to stay running which in turn allows you to here the nice knocking/klacking sound in the motor i was told valves or rod bearing how do i determine which an where should i go from here..............oh an now the car dont turn over at all has full power you turn the key an everything turns on an off but no turning of the motor HHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE: I took the valve cover off took it to tdc an it was off 1 tooth belts loose an slipping readjusted started fine belt slaps bad so i shut it off till I get the new belt, pump an tensioner
Check your valve adjustment. If you have any really loose valves, you most likely bent them. You may have been fortunate. I would tell you to run a compression test, but I think that rotating your engine with the starter at this point is a bad idea.
