* I've had a couple complain about the shipping cost, I'm not making a dime on shipping so if you have a more cost effective way of transport I am willing to ship through any carrier. I will give you the shipping origin address as well as the shipping dimension of the tranny on the pallet so you can obtain or verify quotes...

* SHIPPING IS AVAILABLE. There are 3 methods of shipping available. (sorted from least to most expensive)

#1. Business to business, via road. This is the cheapest method of shipping freight and involves getting a item shipped from one business to another. This would work well if you wanted to ship the item to a mechanics shop to have it installed. Add $294.

#2. Airport to airport via plane, which would obviously be the fastest. However it will involve the buyer picking the transmission up from your local airport. Which could be a problem if you don't live in a major metropolitan area. Add $325 to the price.

#3. Shiping from business to a residence, via road. This would deliver the item directly to your door. Add $349.

All prices include insurance! To ship without insurance is about $50 cheaper, however if the buyer chooses to not pay for insurance, he or she assumes all liability for the transmission and there will be no warranty given.

Additionally, the transmission will be shipped on a pallet and wrapped.

My mecanic bought the trans from the tarrant county auto-theft task force car auction. Supporting documentation can be provided to buyer. Subsequently, there is no reliable way to know the mileage. However, it has been visually checked at his shop and is gauranteed to work visa vie the option to return within the first couple of days if unsatisfied. Feel free to PM or text for more info.

please ask your mechanic what the tooth count on gears 4 and 5 are. if it is a legit itr transmission then i will wait for your response. if this was bought at a local auto theft yard, then there is no possible way of telling it is an authentic itr transmission without cracking the case and counting those particular 2 gears. also, what were the clearances of the synchros when he checked it?

 

Will check and post the tooth count as well as the clearance ASAP!!

 

Just spoke with the my mechanic and it 100% came from a 2001 usdm itr. When he initially got it he opened it, checked out the edges of the teeth, inspected the fluid and looked for shavings. He said all the teeth were in great shape (no rounded edges), it still had Honda oem LSD fluid in it and there were no shavings as well as minimal dust. Then when he was done he resealed it hondabond. As far as the teeth, the tooth count for 4th was 28/31 and 5th was 33/28.

Additionally, while he didn't specifically check the clearances on the syncros, he said they looked good and again, there were no shavings in the fluid, leading him to believe that everything is operating like it should. He said he can open it back up and check the clearance of the syncros and whatever else the buyer request for piece of mind but he's already checked/verified that it is 100% itr and he is offering a money back guarantee to that effect; therefore while he is happy to do that for the buyer, he would then have to sell the trans for $1000 for his additional time and labor.
