96' Fuel Pump or Spark Plug's
Hi Guys,
So I gotta problem and I'm looking for some simple solutions. So first I have a 96' accord anniversary edition, Car has been running great until about two weeks ago. For the first time ever I let my car run out of gas (not sure if it matters) but yeah. No big deal there had a cop push me to the nearest gas station filled up and left. After I left the station I was driving around and came to a red light, at the light My car just turned died. I was able to turn it on but it died on me again shorty after, I let it rest for about on hour and had no more problems with it the rest of that day. Now whenever I'm driving my car will randomly die on me.
My dad says I need to replace the fuel pump and a friend of mine thinks its the spark plug's. Not sure what to do, anyone have any ideas??

I wouldn't do either on a guess. Now if the car has not had or is due for a tune up the give it a tune up.......cap, rotor, check wires ,plugs, fuel filter, ect....
First thing you need to do is fugure out what is missing when it dies....Spark, fuel or votage to the systems.
You'll need to do some testing.......my guess, I started out by saying don't replace anything on a guess----giving my initial thoughts on where to start testing....you'll find it is missing spark (ICM or coil) or power (bad ign switch, elect part-not uncommon on an Accord in this gen).

Okay so I did what you said. I checked the car and gave it a couple tune up's. But the problem still persists. So I went down to O'Reilly's and checked my car's computer with that TI 84 looking device (don't know wtf it's callled) but anyway it gave me the code P0141 & another code for my speedometer. Googled the code came up with "O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)". So can someone tell me what this is, what it does and how to fix it.
I'd guess the fuel filter is clogged after all of the crud from the bottom of the fuel tank got sucked into it.
However, the fuel pump is cooled by fuel. If it was already on it's way out it could have burned up when it got empty, however this normally doesn't happen, but can.
