Ok i did a dpfi to mpfi swap in my civic got rid of the old d15(threw a rod) and put in a D16A6 my buddy who has done this swap for 10 years now helped me with the harness and wired it up so i go to start it up and it starts but only runs on cylinder 3 im getting a code 8 and 9 i have replace the dizzy twice both work in my friends car but in mine they only fire on cylinder 3 it will fire up rev up to 2k then die my plug wires are in the right order its wired to my ecu correctly my injectors are wired correctly im at a loss i can figure out whats going on my friend is busy doing yard work all week and cant help he told me to ask on here. does anyone know what might be wrong.

Sounds like he wired it wrong... double check his work. Just because someone does something for decades the wrong way doesn't make it right.
