Idle Screw Problem....
Hello all. Well i got some money and thinking about buying a new throttle body but would like to know if im going on the right path. My B16's idle bouces if i dont have the idle adjustment screw all the way in. Im guessing that it is old and must be causing an air leak when its out and not all the way in. Any ideas?
Get some carb/brake cleaner and spray around the intake manifold area. If the idle surges then there's an air leak where you've sprayed.
Also check your coolant level; any air bubbles in the system will cause an idle to surge.
It might also be worth it to pull your IACV off and clean out the screen.

IACV has been cleaned. New TPS, and the coolent was just replaced. Ive already checked all the surging possibilities. Ron on here walked me through stuff before. Im just noticing my car runs fine with the idle screw all the way closed, but once i open it the idle starts to bounce and i would like to raise my idle up from it being closed so i was just guessing it has to be the throttle body....
