Icon2 AEM F/IC issues

I'm wiring a AEM F/IC unite into my 93 civic and I'm getting a check engine. Code 9 for cylinder position sensor. Now when I remover the F/IC and plug in the bypass harness the code goes away only when the F/IC is plugged in do I get the code.
I've checked the wiring diagrams over and over and everything is right. The only thing I can think of is I'm using an obd 2 wiring harness and distributor and maybe it's causing a problem.

Any help on the matter would be awesome!!! because the dyno shop won't tune it till that code is gone

I think you're in the wrong forum. You need to post this in Forced Induction.
