ls vtec wont start help please
Ok whats up honda tech
Block is std size bore machine shop just honed and put OEM CTR PISTONS WITH NEW RINGS.Basically whole bottom end new. The gsr head has manley valve train with super tech valves.
My problem is car doesnt want to start. Has spark and fuel. i did a compression test cyl 1 160 cyl 2 140 cyl 3 140 cyl 4 160 so i poured very very little old in all 4 cylinders and they jumped to 210 still didnt start and now they back down to 180,150,150,150? also as i crank car wants to start but in the begginging i was getting alot of smoke coming out the dip stick now it calm down please someone guide me??????

Is there bright white spark at all four plugs? Will the engine start with starting fluid? Are the plug wires installed in the correct firing order? Is the mechanical timing right?
chase4494 yea with that compression it should start...RONJ i acutally just checked one plug that would have to be my next thing check all. And yes timing is on the money. and i had no starter fluid will have to go buy some tomorrow thanks any other suggestions?

update guys forgot to say yesterday that im also getting a CEL 6 short blinks followed by 1 long one i dont know if its code 6 and code 10 or code 16 for fuel injector but my injectors are plugged in
Then clear the codes from the ECU to see whether they return after cranking the engine.
got the car to start.. runs but stalls out after a while but if i take out the vaccum hose from regulator off it runs all day... now i found the tps sensor one of the wires broke ff so now gotta figure how to fix that and if i rev little i cant pass like 2 grand i know cuz tps is unplugged but im getting white smoke out the exhuast???
How did you get the engine to start?
If you are sure codes 6 and 10 are thrown, then fix them and go from there. Are the ECT and IAT sensors connected? A broken TPS wire should throw a TPS code. Look for swapped sensor connectors.

dizzy wires was crossed....and yea it blinks for sure 6 times fast then short pause and then once long so it should be 6 and 10 and intake air is connected and so is coolant??
ok guys went to check the sensors coolant is plugged in and one thing i just realized i never had a intake air temp sensor plugged in why would it throw a code now? could it be im using the chipped p28 that was tuned on my previous gsr motor ?
also car takes a while to start when cold have to step on throttle for it to start ?? smh went from a smoking gsr to a ****ed up lsvtec men
