Default ITR - but not for me..

Its a sad day in my Life.. If any life at all. For two months, I've been trying to get hold of an ITR from germany (imported to norway). While writing this, 17 stock ITR's are for sale on http://www.mobile.de - ready for import. But the problems didn't ever seem to end.

First I had to rid of my Civic. Since that Civic was a hatch with fairly little hp, and a but-ugly bodykit, it turned out to be harder then expected. (http://home.broadpark.no/~tforland for pics). The guy I was going to import the ITR from told me to just give him a buzz when I had the money. Load and everything was already in order. This week I got a bid on the car, and the guy wanted it. Thank God!

I called up the importer guy and told him to get the ITR on the wheels to norway. But - yes, there is a but - the guy in Germany, manager for import cars, had gone on a four weeker to spain.. Typical my luck.. Four weeks without a car. But what the heck I though. I am waiting for something good, so I'll manage.

I thought I could do some prepping meanwhile, and GOD was I in for a surprise. First I thought I should get the insurance in order. The first company I called said "Integra Type R? We dont insure those cars..". The second company I talked to wanted 52.000USD A YEAR for the insurance of the ITR. Four other companies did not want to insure it at all..

Where is God when you need him?

Best regards,

T

Are you referring to the (RSX) 02 Integra Type-R?

You should bring some examples of how much the ITR costs to the insurance company. Then maybe they will reconsider the insurance rate.

If you are paying any more than 15% of the new car cost on insurance a year, you are getting shafted and need to find a new insurance company/plan.
