i was driving my car and i went of a railroad track and heard some sorta of like crack popish sound and then i lost all the power and the car just like died on me and then it wouldnt start up after any ideas of why this is . the car was running fien all week before and snice i have bought it (im only 16 and learning mechicans so dont make fun)
so as it stands now im asumming its the timing belt cause theres nothing i can see wrong with it no smoke or leaking or anything. and no ones come up with some werid thing that happens to hondas lol

dont even bother with the timing belt yet. when you turn the key does the engine sound like it **wants (haha i said once to) to start? if so take a spark plug wire off the spark plug and hold it real close to the engine while someone else trys to start the car. look for a spark. then report back
Wait before you go through that, why not start with the simple things...I hear that dizzy rotor screws are notorious for falling out. Check that first. I thought I remember seeing a post where he heard pooping aswell and it turned out to be a rotor screw that fell off.
ok ill take alook at both of those tomorrow snice its dark out now and i have to work on the street lol thank u for all of the ideas guys
and im really leaning towards the timing belt because it had like 60,000 more kms on it then it was suespose to have and i didnt have time when i was in school to do it cause i was to busy on the shocks and every thing so thats why i think it broke out of no where
timing belts are generally more resilient than people think. it wouldnt take long to make sure its still there tho. just as long as checking for spark or gas
Start with the easy stuff...the rotor is a common problem I hear, also don't assume aswell, usually you can tell if your timing belt has let go and other people here would be able to explain it better then I. If it has more miles on it and it isn't the problem...replace it.
aight thanks for all the ideas i checked for fuel frist lol and when i try and start it it kinda sounds liek theres no compsion and well some times like start and then just die (this was when i was on the side of the road waiting for a towtruck )
Glad it worked!
I would change that timing belt though...cause its overdue...I heard from a local mechanic that is usually has a tendency to break during startup...but I had a shadow where the teeth broke off when my bro was driving.
