Rev limiter @ 5000 rpms?? Wtf..?
Ok, I'll try to explain this. I have a 2000 Gs-R and its in great condition. It only has 115,XXX miles on it. For some reason sometimes when I hit 5000 rpm's in any gear the car will like jerk a little bit, its hard to explain it.. I'm trying to find the best words to describe what its doing, but its almost like the rev limiter is kicking in at 5000 rpm's.
You know how when you go into redline and the rev limiter kicks in where the rpms can't go any higher, well it sometimes does this at 5000 rpm's. It's usually when the engine has been running for a while also. Like when I let the teg sit for a while and then take it up to 5000 rpm's it doesn't do it, but it sometimes does it when I drive the car for a while. Like I said I'm trying to explain this to the best of my ability....the car like jerks...or I guess maybe jolt could be a better word for it. Anyways, any ideas on what it could be? What should I check?

Has the ECU been chipped? Launch control activates if your speed sensor in not working. I think if the ECU is in limp mode, doesn't it have a preset rev limit of 3k??

He can do the jumper method with the wire below and right side of the glove box. Team-integra.net has an article on how to do this, then also has an article on cel codes. Im sure it can be searched on HT also. I keep a bent paper clip in my car for this reason.
