i timed my car last year when i just got the swap in. everything was stock on the motor, and i ran a 15.6 bone stock. since then ive put in alot of parts, but i didnt get a big gain in speed as i was expecting. i timed my car last night and did a 14.9. i was told when i got my tune, that i needed bigger injectors because i pretty much maxed out the stock injectors. and im hoping thats the reason why, so i can release the power that ive been expecting. i know im not the best driver but the difference between the two times i ran should be greater. is there any recommended parts i should add to my support my setup? or will bigger injectors do the trick? or is my setup meant to run roughly 14.9s?

picking up .7s with those mods is not a bad pickup, but 14.9 in a cx hatch with that setup should do quite a bit faster

You gainned .7 in the 1/4 and you're upset about that?? I would have been disappointed had i put a "real" exhaust system on there, with a real header and a real set of cams..
you have crap for add-ons and are running a good time.. you're not anywhere near close to maxxing out stock injectors.
S2s1's are only a semi more aggressive type-r cam..
A good header, a 3'' exhaust and a set of good cams would probably wake you up a whole lot.

start with lowering those 60' times.run a set of slicks or just feather it instead of laying into the gas full blast and spinning so much. car will run much better once you get those 60 foots down. a set of slicks will be your best option to lower the 60
Good luck!!
Good luck!!
Not bashing at all.
Infact you should understand that you've picked up a good amount of power..
You should be excited to see how the motor really does with REAL parts.
I also am inclinded to agree with h22, i think a set of 22 or 23'' slicks would be ideal for your setup.

i couldnt find my dyno chart...i dont remember the torque, but whp was at 167. and yes i use 91 octane. i got the tune at RD Tech.
What psi are you running in the tires, street tires, radial? Like someone else mentioned that 60ft is killing you, MPH isn't too bad

im not upset that i ran a 14.9, i know i need some practice. im just more upset that i only ran .7 secs faster with all the new parts added. is .7 secs an average gain i should be expecting with all the add ons? id just thought it should be more. tell me if im wrong, thanks. thats pretty much what i wanted to know, and not how to run better times, because i raced the same both times. i just wanted to see better results from the upgrades.
Worry about Trap speed.. if you're worried about power numbers
when you ran a 15 whatever, what was your trap? and then compare it to the 14.9 trap.
ETs have too many variables to calulate whether or not you gainned power
Dropping .7 is a good amount.. if you picked up 4mph thats a good amount of power added. Bolt-ons aren't going to produce massive results unless its a really good / custom header, manifold and exhaust setup..with better intakes and ****.

Not a big fan of drag radials. But you can get a pair of them or even some slicks and your 60's will drop , helping lower your E.T. . But I think if you get in some seat time and play with air pressures you can go lower. Seat time is very important. Its easy for anyone to just mash on the gas and rip through gears. Launching & peddling takes lots of work.
