oh and hell why not why we are at it, is it really common for the pass. side window to just not work? if so whats the main reason other then what I have checked, good swtchs, need motor, no binding, good fuses.
the ac and power steering run on one belt. the tensioner is on top of the power steering pump. you have to loosen the top and bottom bolts. do not remove them. the tensioner bolt is a 10mm. do not overtighten the belt, it should have 1/4 of slop in it

well thank you again, this is why i pick honda-tech over all the other sites, you ask questions you get answers. thanks we'll be thinking of you when were chilling in a cold car next week while its in the 95 range

I hope installing the belt does the trick and that the belt was not removed due to failure of the compressor or another A/C component.
oh we hope too, crossed fingers it was just old and dry rotted and fell apart without hearing it break, i did look around a little bit ago, and this is looking like it could take awhile to do, i see there might be an inch between the pullys and the side wall of the fender.
I will try to remember to write back when i get this done, and im going to have other belts off so im thinking of replacing all of them. i think thats how it should be.

I'm in the same boat, its getting hot in my area and I need to re-intall my A/C belt as well. The only problem I have is that I have a B18C1 in my 98 Civic EX so I had to use the compressor mount out of a CRV and re-use a pully from the D16Y8, My dilema is what belt do I use Integra or Civic? I guess I could get it measured to compare the two but I thought I should ask here first to save a little time.
Thanks in advance for any info that is provided.

I realize this is an old thread, but it's exactly what I'm trying to do. Related to this image, the lower mount bolts....are they intended to be accessed from below? I've loosened the Power steering pump and removed that belt. It needs to be replaced. Now I'm trying to figure out how to put the new AC belt on and these bolts need to be removed but I'm trying to see this from the top of the car. From the bottom, if I look up there's a big plastic dirt guard/cowl. Do I need to remove this an access from below or should I being seeing this form the top?
The picture below is where I believe what I'm looking for is, under the green bit of body there. Am I right?

I will be trying to reinstall a/c on my 98 acura el.. everthing is missing but I think ive got it all.. this thread sure helps
just gotta make sure I kept the idler pulley assebley before I scrap my parts car..But after seeing this thread I will be sure to install the belt as I bolt up the compressor to the bracket.. Why is this not a option for installing a new belt in a working system? Will I still have to remove the mount?
Hi All. Just joined the forum after buying a 1994 Del Sol SI. Car has no air. I’ve acquired all the parts to install the AC system except for one; the compressor belt tensioner bracket and pulley. It looks like the pulley is easy enough to get, but not the bracket. Does anyone have one or know where I could find one? Thanks in advance.
no results on car-part but you can submit a request and maybe get lucky:
https://www.car-part.com
run a search for it and the request page will load b/c no results.
