AEM 22-415 in CA
Is the AEM 22-415 short ram intake legal in CA or not?
I ask because on the manual it says:
Huh? Racing vehicle? I can't drive on the highway?
It comes with a C.A.R.B. E.O. #D-670 sticker which comes up on the ARB site. Also: C.A.R.B. E.O. PDF.
I have a Honda 98 Accord LX 2DR AT

NOTE: Legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway

5. CARB Sticker Placement
a. The C.A.R.B. exemption sticker, (attached), must be visible under the hood so that an emissions
inspector can see it when the vehicle is required to be tested for emissions. California requires testing
every two years, other states may vary.

When it comes to Calif emission legal components they need to have a CARB/EO# and a sticker provided to affix to the vehicle for the test technician to know it's and approved part. IMO if you have the sticker its a genuine AEM component then you are OK. I think they just use the same document and someone didn't check.
Call up AEM and ask them what the hell they are smoking.
