Hi everyone,
My accord is RHD from Japan, located in the Caribbean.. Came stock from the factory with 27mm front sway bars and I am having trouble getting this exact size in the Honda catalogue..

Do you think that these ES sway bar bushings look like the design of Honda bushings? It is the correct size, I am just wondering if the design is identical/similar enough to bolt up to my stock 27mm bar..
They are not particularly expensive on amazon, I just need to figure out if they will fit before I order..
Thanks

make sure you are looking at an actual picture of the product. energy suspension uses a lot of "stock" photos. you parts may differ. the ones pictured do look a lot like the honda bushings. but dont the honda bushings have a slot cut into the flat part??

Well, i looked up multiple pictures and they all come back looking like this, so I guess its the correct one..
I'm not sure what you mean by a slot.. You mean the cut that allows you to slide it onto the sway bar? All bushings have that so that you can get it mounted...
Part number is Energy Suspension 8.5118G

I know how urethane bushings work... I have used them before on other cars and once they are well lubed I have never had any problems..
Also, I cant get stock ones seeing as my bar is 27mm and all the other accords I can find are 22 or 25mm..
So, back to the question about the shape of the polyurethane bushings.. Do they look like they will fit these older honda sway bars..

yes they "look" like they will fit but going to be hard for anyone to positively say yes. can email seller and ask what the inside diameter of the bushing is?

Well, the company is amazon and there can be no "proof" really.. I am purchasing for a non-USDM application so regardless of what they tell me it won't really do me any good.. All I know is that they are 27mm
As I said, they are relatively cheap so I can take my chances and possibly return the item if it doesnt work, but I'd still really like to avoid all that drama...

Those are stock style grommets. They will probably work. But trust me, you want energy suspension part number 16.8105. The end link set. Twice as beefy as the stock hardware. Made an enourmous difference on my car and I have only done the end links.
For the bushings, you will have to order one of their universal bushing sets. They do make a bushing for a 27mm sway bar. You will just have to use their brackets is all.

If you don't mind me asking, how come I will need one of the universal bushing sets if my brackets are designed for 27mm?
I know that the universal comes with its own brackets but what is wrong with mine exactly?
Also, concerning the beefier endlinks.. I'd love to pick them up but I have prothane replacements as well, so any extra endlinks i get my hands on are just spares..

Well if you already have them (endlinks) then use what you have.
There isn't anything wrong with your brackets per-se. If they fit you can re-use them no problems. But what you might run into is that the outer diameter of the universal bushings might not the the same as the stock bushings and they may not fit in the stock brackets. That's all.

I called ES today...
They said that the 27mm I mentioned is not going to work and the closest match would be this universal part..
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...=ATVPDKIKX0DER
He said there is no guarantee but its the closest thing they have...
I tried calling prothane as well but apparently they dont open past noon on a Friday..
Closest thing from prothane i think would be this:
