Default Scca question

What class would the ITR be placed in SCCA? It would be for MARRS it that helps any. I know the car isn't supposed to be competitive in it's class but please humor me. Thanks in advance

It falls into the ITE (everything that doesn't fit into IT rules and cars from other series). It most likely will not be competitive as Vipers, Trans am cars and other high horsepower cars generally fall into this group. The non R Integra falls into ITS and can be competitive there.

hope that helps!

Are you talking about club racing? Its in T2 against the Camaro's, S2K's, etc. For IT, I think it would be ITE?

What is the diffrence? I wouldn't mind going up against Camaroos and S2k's but Vipers and what not is a little much for me.

T2 is Touring 2 which is basically an extension of Showroom Stock - the ITR is pretty outclassed in T2 as far as I know (gets a trunk kit but competes w/ S2000, Camaro, 330i, Firebirds and so on). I don't believe you would succesfully get your car classed as ITE unless it was previously logbooked in GAC, WC or something else of the like - as far as I know ITE is not a catch all for anything but a catch all for logbooked cars overprepped for the other IT classes (but I think you are still limited to IT prep rules - don't take my word on this though). Strikes me that it should be classed in SPU where you'd run against hybrids and the baby grands - go to NCRSCCA.org and look at the SPU track records at VIR - I'd think an ITR would be competitive but I am not sure. Also, IIRC, SPU follows Production safety req's not Improved Touring but again more details I am unsure on. Basically this is just my understanding, don't take it as gospel.
