I need advice 5th gen accord (long read)
*Disclaimer* Please go easy on me people, I'm new to this whole import scene. I've read as much of the FAQ as i could possibly sit through and I'm still a little stumped when it comes to some of the lingo you guys use on here (ex. H22b,f22b, sohc, etc)**
OK As I said before, I'm new to this import scene. In my city (Houston, Tx) the car culture mainly revolves around heavily customized american made cars IE. Chevy, ford, dodge, Chrysler. We in houston like to refer to this as SLAB culture, which is what I've known pretty much my whole life. It mainly deals with heavily modifying the exterior and interior of the car to be more visually pleasing to the eyes with things such as; glossy paint (candy paint), swangaz and blades(luxury rims), aftermarket stereo systems, head rest televisions, the list goes on.....
I recently got my 1996 accord ex like 2 months ago and fell in love with it instantly. I recently joined this forum right after the purchase of my car because I needed to know a few things about the factory alarm and radio that were already on board ( you guys helped me out immensely on that btw).
I've done some browsing through the accord pictures section and was amazed at how some of those cars looked and I just knew I had to do some of the same things to mine. My car looks fairly decent considering its bone stock.
Now for the advice part. The accord in this pic is the look that I'm going for, elegant and simplistic yet..........well sick (although I dont really care for the rims). Could anybody give me advice on how i could get my accord to look more like this?

As far as the abbreviations and the lingo are concerned, you pick most of it up as you go along. That or you google it like I did.
I have a 1995 OB1 car looks just like yours... Sorta.
Mines still stock, Its just been lowerd a little and its got a cheap exhuast ( which I happen to like, which is all that matters.) and a ghetto shortam intake.
-If your just wanting you car to look good, then lower it put some rims on it and get new lights and maybe even mirrors.
-If you want performance you should start with bolt on parts. ( Intake, Exhuast, etc.) Also depending on how many miles you have on the car, I'd say clean the throttle body, IAC, FITV, and maybe even the EGR ports. ( doing this will also help you to get to know your engine. Doing all this helps the car run at its best, also get some better plugs ALWAYS NGK plugs and some good NGK wires. Distributor cap and rotor button.
You say you just bought the car, Upgrade some old stuff, and see whats needs to be tended to.
If you don't have one then buy one.... that is a manual, Haynes is the one I got works great other people might say helms. They run about 30-40 bucks and come in VERY handy.
If possible Id love to see some picks of the inside and out (all angles) and the engine if you could. Also how many miles does it have on it?
~Just so people know my engine is clean on the top but dirty on the bottom, few oil leaks n stuff.... but hey 240k miles i'm not complaining.

About how much do you think I should expect to pay to have this badboy lowered.
My car came lowerd. The person that sold it to me said she just did lowering springs. And got her frends to put um in.
My car is at just the right height to where I really don't need cambers really ( they would help get a "perfect" alignment".)
Cambers are basically wheel adjusters so the wheels sit correctly when the car is lowerd, for alignment reasons to.
And it depends on how much you wanna pay.
This is something you are gonna have to do a little research on.
Note the lower you go, the more uncomfortable the ride... Depending on how much you spend.
Also if you got a screwed up drive way you might wanna reconsider to lower it "later on".
If I had to choose I'd buy a set of good coil overs, as they can be adjusted.
Read this and learn something.... Just something I found really quick.
