01 Accord jump start killed it? Advise Please!
My soon to brother in law purchased an 2001 honda accord coupe, drove it for 20 days, drove thru a deep puddle, 5 minutes later he jump started a friends car, tried anyway. With the Cables connected to both cars his car stalled, and was towed to a relatives house. BTW neither he or the relative are the sharpest tools in the shed.
Remember prior to the attempted jump start this car ran fine,it has not run since!
Stuff you need to know:
After market alarm was removed.
After market sound system was removed.
HID fog lights and headlights added
Custom air intake
Aftermarket exhaust and headers.
Ground effects kit
He was told the motor was replaced. Its a 4 cylinder. Valve cover indicates its a Honda VTEC.
the odometer indicates 049568.3
Clean title, no salvage stickers from the state of NH
He cut and spliced back together the wiring at all 4 injectors and the wires to the neutral safety switch at the transmission. Checking for power he said........
He replaced the distributor with a used one, did'nt have any spark he thought.................
He changed the oil when he took the filter off no oil came out of the filter hole on the engine.
Car is now over full on oil dipstick
Car sounds healthy during engine crank.
Fuel pump runs for two seconds with key on.........
Green light key shaped is steady and then starts flashing during engine crank.
Car will stumble on starting fluid
Check engine light is on ,before engine crank then it goes out during engine crank and remains off until key is cycled again.
Battery voltage is 12.85,drops into the 11.6 range during engine crank.
Key on, and during engine crank red lights indicate that both doors and the trunk are open they don't go out unless you turn the key to off.
Door open chime operates properly.

If the intake sucked up water then he probably killed it by attempting to jump start it. The engine can't survive if it got water in the cylinders.
Great news! I have a single spark at each wire during engine crank, then nothing.
Does the immobilize circuit cut Spark or fuel? I ask because of the above statement and the fact that with the key on the fuel pump primes the system each time although the green light on the dash is blinking all the time with key on and during engine crank.
Furthermore just because I am curious, does the key right supply a certain amount of measured resistance to the circuit which could be measured in ohms? Could the location of another wireless device interfere with this circuit?
As always, any Input is appreciated,Thank you
