Default Pls help price my 01 civic ex coup

I was wondering if anyone could give me a price on how much this car would be worth I am looking to sell it and I have no idea on how much it would go for. It has a few problems and I do not know much about cars or on how much they are worth. It’s a 01 civic coup ex 5 speed with 89500 miles on it. It is white with tan leather interior. The car looks great. The car has two small dents above the driver side door. It also has one small one above the driver side front wheel. I was told it needs a new cat it has a custom exhaust put on from a muffler shop from the cat back. The Air Intake is also an aftermarket and is very old almost falling apart. It needs two front tires and I believe the shocks are bad also. I recently received a recall for the airbags from the dealership but it has not been fixed yet. It has an aftermarket stereo system with two 10's and an amp, the two back speakers are blown. Could you please let me know how much you think it would be worth as is? I looked up blue book prvacy sale value with my mileage it said 6400 but I do not think I could get that. Thank you.

Go on KBB.com see the price of your car according to zip code as private sale. Should give you an idea.

The miles arent very high. It may say its worth 6400 but you have to take into account the work it needs. Intakes are pretty cheap , you can get an oem one off of anyone whos gone aftermarket. You can also get some used tires with good tread for cheap as well. I see the honda steelies for 100 on craigslist constantly. No clue about the shocks and as for the recall, take it in, i did. Its FREE.fix those few things so no one wants to lowball you. Also have you done the major services, ie waterpump/timing belt

If you put the front tires in the back would the front tires still need to be replaced?

With the work needed, I'd say $3500 - $4000 for the car. The low miles don't outweigh the aftermarket components that most buyers do not want when looking at purchasing cars. If you can return the car to good running condition with OEM components, you'll get more out of the vehicle.

Yea the major services were done. Yea the front tires are shot I couldnt just switch them. Someone offered me 3500 today for it. If I fixed it back by say just doing the exhaust, intake, and tires do you think it would go for more then 4000? It seems to me that doing that stuff would cost me more then the 500 so why not just sell it for the 3500 so its not like im losing money on it. I dont really know what to do. Thank you again

$3500 as-is is a fair price. If you were to get some good deals at a local salvage yard, you could easily make a little money on your labor installing OEM replacement parts.

Maybe, but a new catalytic converter will cost you some serious money. You probably won't get as much for your money that way.

Yeah, you're looking at $1000+ for a new cat plus labor. The rest are cheap fixes. They know they are getting a pretty decent deal so, $200 isn't gonna hurt 'em. See if you can get $4000 but, $3800 is a fair deal.

I agree, can't hurt to ask for $4k. But I would accept $3.8k.

Donno what the prices are like in your area, But here a 01 si/ex with the mileage listed and the work thats required, you would really struggle to get $2000 for it, if your lucky.
