Default SI-VTEC LIP

All:

I have been searching and searching and still cannot find the best place to buy a SI-VTEC Lip. I have however, narrowed it down to either WekSos or Hmotorsonline. I understand one is cheaper than the other, but money will not be my final determination. I have contacted Hmotorsonline and they put some questions of mine to rest; they ship with hardware and use all factory hole mounting locations. Also, I found that they used to ship the lips rolled up, but have since changed that shipping method. Weksos does not ship with hardware and I have heard I will have to drill my own holes (which I do not want to do), if I’m paying $200 for a Lip it should go on without changes being made.

I have decided not to go with JDMsh!t because I found that they were not that good of quality and can actually break. Even though they are cheaper, for me it is not worth it. I have also decided not to go with OEM because they are ABS plastic.

My questions:
-I want it to fit as OEM as possible, who has had experience with either of the two?
-I once heard that jdmsh!t and hmotorsonline were the same company, should this worry me?
-Do I have to drill my own holes in the weksos Si-VTEC lip?

PLEASE READ:
-Do not post in this thread leading me to a link. I have seen them all, seriously.
-I was reluctant to post this because I know I will get those of you who say "Google is your best friend" and "this has been posted before, SEARCH!" Let me tell you that I would not have created this thread if I had not searched and found what I was looking for. Instead I found more post about people who think this information is out there.
-If you have completely no idea what I am talking about/have not seen or have personal experience with what I am asking, DO NOT post. Go increase your post count in some other thread.
-Lastly, (I hope because I’m getting depressed with all my demands) do not tell me OEM is the best way to go! Although it may be as far as fitment goes, there are people who I’ve read about that say if they could do it all over again that they would have bought a poly urethane Si-VTEC lip over the OEM lip because spending $400+ wasn't worth it when they cracked/snapped it on a dip.

Thank you for reading and posting your experience

Thanks man, i'll look into it. I was planning on buying 1 of the two. But it is nice food for thought.

Can anyone else chime in on their experience, possibly with either of the two company's SI-VTEC Lip?

Thank you for the message. Like I said, I'll look into it. I would like to see how that compares to the rest as well.

UPDATE:
I recieved a reply back from weksos. They said that their lip has spots marked on the lip that act like a template to drill. The gentleman also recomended going to the hardware store for self tapping screws.

I am a little skiddish about going with weksos because all I want to do is mount it. I don't want to have to drill holes and get additional hardware.

Does anyone have experience with hmotorsports.com. What is their hardware like?

I wouldnt mull over it too much with the information youve gathered thus far. It seems you really only have 2 choices that youve narrowed it down to. Using the factory mounting locations or drilling your own holes into what im guessing isnt the factory locations since you didnt specify that. When it comes to aftermarket manufactured you really dont have a lot of options when it comes to lips. If the cost is similar in both options id personally go with the one that uses the factory locations but if u want to see what their hardware looks like your best option is to ask them for pictures and decide if you like what you see. Even so it seems you prefer to have the hardware provided for you rather then purchasing screws from the hardware store and drilling them in. Again, your options are limited.. go with factory mounting locations. If you dont like the provided screws you can probably use the brackets and choose your own screw/bolt combination depending on what the bracket looks like.

If youre hoping for someone to chime in with another option that uses factory mounting locations and different hardware, its probably not gonna happen. The fact that one of them already uses factory mounting is the best you can expect. Its cheaper and easier for companies to make the replicas without them. If i had found a company that makes the replica type r lip for 98+ that used factory mounting locations i would have gone that route but there isnt one. I went polyeurathane as well. Dont like the cheap abs knock offs.
