My first track day - Nurburgring
[New] Wife wanted to go to Spain for our honeymoon and I figured as long as I was in Europe a trip to the Nurburgring was a must...
I'm the goofy guy in the Suzuki Hatchback.
I can't describe the experience enough but is definately a must-do for all autophiles.
video games and youtube videos cannot do the track justice. They can't illustrate the elevation changes well enough.
Took some pics of some of the cars that passed me up.

rent4ring.de! I am planning on being there next spring for a "training" trip at work... A guy I know is there right now and just went there and has been giving me feedback on where to rent cars and how to get on the ring. I am planning on renting the Suzuki too! Or maybe the Opel :-P How were the cars? Were there any extra fees when you went or just the price of the rental? Deposit? Cost to get on course?
P.S. The cars that are just parked over there are pure carporn. Can't wait to go!

the car handled great. I never got close to the breaking or cornering limits of it. Most of the credit goes to the R888's. I would go for the Suzuki since you've never drivin the track before it's not going to make much of a difference. i was trailing/pacing the opels. I let two ahead of me and paced them to get to know the track. They're significantly more expensive and it's just not worth it.
Plus the Suzuki is alot cheaper.
a lap ticket is 24 euros i beleive and then you have fuel. I think the rent4ring setup is a little pricey but well worth it.
I walked away paying 289 euros - about $400
ends up being about 85 Km's of driving or about 40 minutes

I really liked the orange GTI... I saw it chasing down an M3 Comp coupe and the VW was all over the road until the M let him pass.

Sweet, good looking out!
I was so bummed that I didn't have any pics of me actually on the track - I'm buying one or two for sure.
There are so many great pics on there.
One note for the guys who live in Northern CA like me, the guy who helps run the car rental place I rented from said he wants to drive Sears Point the most out of any track right now because of it's elevation changes.
I thought that said quite a bit for Sears Point. I'm driving there next!
