( Pic inside ) Broke this piece on my Ys1 Tranny, Ideas?

Hey guys this piece snapped off my ls cable transmission , I have know idea what to do or how to fix this, Do i need to get a whole new transmission? This is where the cable sits in . Any idea if I could fab something up and have it welded?

I agree, replace it. The crank shaft bolt broke on my engine and I could of easily half assed it, I just did a swap on it to avoid any future issues.
you CANT custom "fab" something there that hook eye is for the tip end of the clutch cable and from workin on a B18C with a cable tranny you gotta pull them bastards hard to enguage the clutch. i can see u "fabbing" something on there and when u go to press in the clutch *loud snap* and your clutch is no longer functional....... i doubt you can do extreme damage if you "do fab something up" but how did u break it in the first place. thats a sturdy piece of metal! maybe be careful next time?
Even if you or someone you know had the skills to weld up a new tab on the end of this (about the only way to repair right) you would still likely have to remove it from the trans to make sure it's done right.
Just pull the trans out, it's not that hard. It's been a while since I removed the shaft release but I do think it can come out with out actually having to break the trans case open.

It's only $30 list from Acura so it really is better to just buy a new one
