I got a buddy who has a S1 cable tanny he's willing to let go for 100 bucks, It has a grind in 2nd,3rd,4th. First I wanna know if this is a good price? 2nd of all I need to know where I could find a rebuild for the inside? I would be putting this in my B20 swapped ef, which now has a cable ls tanny, He told me it would be like night and day with this tranny.? Is this the jdm b16 tranny? it says S1 on the case

 

No S1 is LS tranny.

Y1 is B16

 

I was told the S1 that I own is the one out of the 92-93 da gsr which is the same on the inside as the b16 cable trans.

 

I have a S1 tranny from a JDM B16a off a Integra Xsi Cable driven tranny. So yes it is a b16 tranny
The Ys1 is from a gsr

 

All of you should SEARCH a little more often... below if everything you seek - it's not all about WHAT it's from but WHERE it's from. The specs change depending on the market it was originally released to.

there are also b18 ls S1 cable trannys...

unless he drove it and felt that the gears were short. Id make sure its a b16 one
