Default Hello, im a newbie, Again.

This is the first time ive had a tuner car in about 6 years. The scene isnt here any more like it use to be in my town but I still love the builds I do see. Anyways, the wife (something else I didnt involve with cars) and I bought a 1996 Honda Accord v6 sedan. So far, in the two days I have done research Ive found that the v6 motor is called a c27a and the chasis is a CE6. I have found a few power options as far as intake and exhaust and of course a bunch of body mods. Can any give me any pointers about this car or motor that may help us with our build. We are not making a show car but a daily driver. Any help will be appreciated. John

Not a lot of aftermarket support out there for the CE6. Parts are out there but you will have to look around. I haven't worked on the CE6 much myself. however, I know that the auto transmission is the weakest link in the drive train. It doesn't take well to power adders. You may want to check and see if yours has ever been swapped or rebuilt. If it hasn't already, it may go out sooner than later.

This might be a good place to look at; http://www.v6performance.net/

thanks for the welcome and the info. I have found several mods i want to do, but I want to make sure i choose the right options. I noticed alot of people on here have been using the ebay air intake. From what I understand the AEM/Fujita options only yield a 2.25 inch intake pipe where the ebay ones allow a 2.75" to 3" diameter. I know its probally not a big difference because I havent increased the size of the throttle body opening, but I do plan on doing something with that if possible. Next, suspension and handling, found a few options for the v6 model on the suspension end. I know I do not need Ebay springs(past experience) what should I go with. Handling, is it worth the money to buy the front upper/lower strut bar and rear bars? If so, which brand should I go with? I havent found any one brand that offers all options on the bars. Thanks for any input!
