Doing body work a little at a time, what to protect with?
I'm going to start fixin' up my car so I can get a good paint job (finally) but it's going to take some time. I was planning on just spray painting over the finished panels until they're all done and then taking it in for paint, but maybe this isn't the best idea? I've heard that getting real auto paint put on over spray paint is not much fun.
What do you guys suggest?

when your finished with the bodywork on a panel, give it about three coats of primer surfacer and put it away in safe dry place. should be fine
My only concern is that the car will be used all the time, and I head that primer will absorb moisture.
Good 2K primer/surfacer will be sealed and not absorb moisture. It's the rattle can junk that absorbs moisture....
