Default 92 Civic LX Swap?

I'm new to this site and to the whole Honda engines. Let me know if this is in the wrong section?

Well I have a a 92 LX everyone where i live has Hatchbacks, EJ's, EX's... So I want to have some different with a LX. Now I have put a VTEC engine in instead of having the stock D15B7(Non-VTEC). I heard, I can swap in a D16Z6 VTEC engine in that. Now i wanted to know what other engines I can swap in the LX and fix it up a bit more with power?

You HAVE put in a VTEC engine or you PLAN to put one in?
D16Y7's were never VTEC engines. You sure you know what engine you're talking about?
What do you define as "more power?"

You define more power as "more horsepower"? What did you think I was talking about?
Swap in a B-series engine. The Z6 will be faster than what you have but slower than any mini-van.

First. Drop the JDM stuff RIGHT NOW!!! JDM-Japanese Domestic Market. Unless you are getting parts from the motherland then nothing you see on Ebay with the letters JDM in it are real. And because you own a Honda doesn't make it JDM either.
Second. You get the biggest engine with the most horsepower you can afford.

Here.
http://hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc2000...USDM%20Engines
This will give you an idea of what's available.
You can swap in C, B, D, F, H, J, and K series engines. Each has it's own set of requirements on getting it to swap properly. The B & D series are by far the most easy.

Now this is starting to degrade into hurt feelings. I said I wasn't mad but obviously you are. I don't know how you can tell what my emotional state is by typed words that you're reading on a computer screen. I was here trying to help you. Obviously I'm not. I'm out.

Good luck to you.

Any honda swap is available for you. If you buy a complete motor with tranny, ecu, starter, alternator etc all you need is the specific mounts and axles for the swap.

i think you should stick with the b7 motor you have now and research alot. then when your ready buy the engine you think you will like. i personally am a fan of a b18c1 in a civic so do research then ask questions. you will get a lot more help that way

Well I been looking at the B18B and B16A and check them out. Plus I'm low on money so yea and the only B18C is almost 2k man. So which one would you prefer if it was the B18B or B16A or H23

B18B 93-98 (LS) Long Block
145Hp 127Trq 9.4 Compression (JDM)
$ 849.00 Plus shipping and handling.

B16A 88-91 (SiR I) Long Block
160Hp 111Trq 10.2 Compression (JDM)
$ 999.00 Plus shipping and handling.

H23 92-95 Long Block
160Hp 156Trq (JDM)
$ 950.00 Plus shipping and handling.

HERE THE ONE YOU TOLD ME ABOUT

B18C 94-97 (GSR) Long Block
180Hp 126Trq 10.6 Compression (JDM)
$ 1799.00 Plus shipping and handling.

Are these complete change overs? or just the head and block because they are a little cheap.

What do you think of the H23 tho? But would it be a bit more work putting it in instead of putting a B or D engine?
