Default Anyway to upgrade an older sc61

I have an sc61 on my car now at 30psi and it has the small .63 exhaust housing on it now. this winter i plan on going to the .82 for more flow but im wanting to know if theres a race cover or a better comp housing that would help the 35r wheel thats inside that small .60 e-cover. thanks

Check with Lighteningteg on H-T. He did an SC61 upgrade. Going simply to a larger A/R may not work if its still using the smaller stage 3 wheel. The difference in power deliver between the .60 E-cover and .70 S-cover for that wheel is rather minimal; its the change in compressor wheel and turbine wheel that need the change up. Something lighteningteg did.

Just curious, but how much power were you able to make on the .63 housing @ 30psi? Thanks!

I had Mac put a 62mm Reaper billet wheel on my old SC61 when it needed a rebuild. Spools about 500 rpm sooner then the SC61 cast wheel and makes at least the same amount of power at the worst. But I have not tested its potential

I made 513 @ 30psi with that upgrade on pump gas, stock LS head with 404 cams.

did you just drop your cams in or did you degree them in (if so what are you gears set at)ive heard mixed things i have the 404s too and at 30psi its only making 377whp (this was on a mustang dyno if that matters) and we are trying to find out whats going on havent tried a differnet dyno yet many people say it could be the .63 exhaust housing but i dont really think it would hold that much back.

We've had the car out twice to the local 1/8th mile best time has been 7.3 at 102mph and we are spinning 1st at 2nd still 60s are high to 1.6-1.7
